DUTIES

As Manager, Accounting , you'll lead essential accounting operations, support your team's development, and help ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching, and developing accounting team members, establishing performance goals, supporting training, and contributing to hiring and performance management decisions.
• Overseeing accounts payable and general ledger transactions, check disbursements, 1099 reporting, and the accuracy of required financial reports.
• Administering company banking services, corporate credit cards, and travel expense reimbursement systems, including electronic payments, fund transfers, bank reconciliations, and expense report reviews.
• Preparing journal entries, analyzing operating expenses and intercompany billings, developing annual operating expense budgets, and balancing branch income statements.
• Completing account reconciliations, balancing procedures, and GAAP and statutory reporting for affiliated branches.
• Leading annual updates to corporate insurance programs, helping ensure appropriate coverage, and issuing insurance certificates.
• Developing and monitoring department compliance procedures while supporting adherence to the Sarbanes-Oxley COSO framework.

EXPERIENCE

We're looking for an accounting professional who combines technical expertise with a collaborative leadership style. To succeed as our Manager, Accounting , you'll need:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least five years of related professional experience, including previous experience supervising or leading a team.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
