About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Government Affairs to play a pivotal role in advancing its mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and driving the government affairs strategy at the highest level, with a focus on achieving key legal objectives related to religious freedom, free speech, parental rights, and the sanctity of life. This role involves overseeing the U.S. Government Affairs team, including the development of legislative tools, direct advocacy work, and maintaining relationships with key lawmakers and executive-branch officials. The Vice President will also be a primary spokesperson for the team, representing the organization in media and public events, and will be expected to build alliances and coalitions with like-minded policy groups. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, an active license in at least one US state bar, and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in federal or state legislative or executive-branch settings. A strong background in managing teams of attorneys, as well as a proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships, is essential. The role requires the candidate to work closely with the Chief Legal Counsel and organizational management to define and oversee plans and strategies, and to ensure close coordination with the legal, communications, and development teams. The Vice President will also be responsible for promoting cross-team communication, collaboration, and problem-solving to accelerate organizational performance and achieve objectives.
