Job Title: Surgical Tech – CVOR (Travel Only)

Job Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 13 Weeks

Compensation: $1,875–$2,025 Gross Weekly ($50–$54/hour, based on experience)

Shift: Day Shift

Schedule:

• 8-Hour Shifts
• 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Monday–Friday
• Call: 7–10 shifts per month
• Weekend and holiday call as needed

Employment Type: Travel Contract

Work Setting: 100% Onsite

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist for a travel contract assignment supporting a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with open-heart, cardiovascular, endovascular, and complex surgical procedures, including Impella cases and dissections.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience within the last 6 months.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with:
  • Open-heart procedures
  • Cardiovascular surgery
  • Endovascular procedures
  • Impella procedures
  • Aortic dissections
• Active CST certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Level I Trauma experience required.
• Previous travel experience required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the CVOR and surgical equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintain strict sterile technique throughout surgical cases.
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during complex cardiovascular procedures.
• Anticipate instrument, equipment, and supply needs during procedures.
• Support open-heart, cardiovascular, endovascular, and other high-acuity surgical cases.
• Assist with Impella procedures and dissection cases.
• Perform accurate surgical counts and maintain proper specimen handling.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and surgical protocols.
• Participate in required call coverage, including weekends and holidays.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other members of the surgical team.

Facility & Case Environment

• Large surgical program with approximately 29 operating rooms across two buildings .
• Multiple specialized surgical environments, including:
  • Cardiothoracic ORs
  • Endovascular ORs
  • Trauma ORs
  • Robotic Surgery
  • BrainSuite
  • Cystoscopy OR
• Multiple Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical systems .
• High-volume environment with approximately 30–40 cases per day .

Certifications

• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
