Social Care Assistant- DHDU

Job title: Personal Assistant Hours: 4 hours per week on Tuesdays Rates of pay: £15.00 per hour. Location: Durham (University) Driver with own car essential I am a manual wheelchair user and can transfer without help into a car seat. Purpose of the role: Enable me to access wheelchair rugby sessions every Tuesday from 7pm to 9:30 pm by driving to Gateshead Leisure Centre and returning afterwards. Responsibilities: As my Personal Assistant, you will be accountable for driving and supporting me in all aspects of your work. You must be reliable, use your initiative, respect privacy, and maintain confidentiality. Requirements: You must be willing to undertake suitable training to understand my condition and needs. You should have a valid and clean driving licence, own transport (mileage will be covered), be sociable with similar interests, and possess patience, open‑mindedness, and enthusiasm. Candidates must also be able to assist with wheelchair transfer. Post subject to references and DBS check. This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed.
