Description:

Logistics - Material Planning & Supplier Management Specialist
• Work directly with the key suppliers to drive resolution on material supply issues.
• Schedule, contact and expedite parts from suppliers, internal work centers, sister plants, third party logistics representatives, and subcontract suppliers; develop and implement contingency plans when necessary and keep management informed of actions being taken
• Expedite operations that delay delivery schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions; includes estimating
• Investigate and resolve root cause issues creating material shortages in order to reduce/eliminate risk to production targets.
• Monitor and manage constrained material and problem suppliers. Perform allocation activity as needed for constrained material.
• Coordinate with Purchasing teams to resolve material availability issues to prevent impact on production and shipment targets.
• Support plants and suppliers in the investigation of alternative solutions to resolve material shortages and understanding impact.
• Gather requirements from the plants and use the available systems to provide centralized reports on priorities and run without dates.
• Analyze production requirements and capacity data, perform mathematical calculations to determine optimum inventory and budget targets are met.
• Revise planning based on changes coming from both dependent and independent demands as well as from inventory adjustments and Bills of Material corrections; resolve and process open rejection orders
