Driver/Warehouse Associate

Our top priority is ensuring customer orders arrive on time, are loaded and unloaded with care, and are packaged correctly. If that's yours too, we may have the role for you! Our team is growing and so is the number of customer orders we are handling, which means Solar Atmospheres of Michigan (Chesterfield, MI) is looking to add a full-time Driver/Warehouse Associate to the team! This position will generally work the hours of Monday-Friday from 6:30 am-3:00 pm but occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

What you'll do
As a Driver/Warehouse Associate at Solar Atmospheres of Michigan, you will handle customer products before and after the heat-treating process, ensuring they are handled with care throughout. This role will also serve as delivery driver, delivering customer orders or running errands when needed. Day-to-day you'll:

• Proactively assist in shipping and packing activities
• Load and unload trucks as needed
• Check materials into the computer system to keep accurate records and inventory
• Operate standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, rolling ladders, skid loaders, and other material handling tools
• Collaborate and assist co-workers in the shipping department, delivery drivers, and Furnace Operators
• Serve as a Driver when needed to deliver customer orders or run errands using a company vehicle
• Interact with customers professionally and helpfully, assist in unloading deliveries, and ensuring paperwork needed is complete
• Perform all other duties as assigned

What you need to thrive in this role

• High school diploma
• Prior shipping/receiving and delivery driving experience, preferred
• Basic knowledge and proficiency with ERP systems, computers and shipping software
• Possess the minimum of a valid chauffeur's driver's license and clean driving record
• Reliability and dependability are a must to ensure our customer's products ship and get delivered on time
• Organizational skills, efficiency, the ability to work independently, and computer skills
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 50lbs, and work around material handling equipment
• Currently possess or can obtain a DOT medical card
