IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician in Phoenix, AZ

Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A prominent closed-door mail order pharmacy specializing in compounded hormone replacement therapy (HRT), veterinary medications, and fertility treatments is seeking skilled pharmacy technicians to support their growing team. This opportunity offers a contract with the potential to convert to a direct hire position, providing room for career advancement within a specialized pharmacy setting.

Position Types Available:

Non-sterile/Sterile Compounding Technician
Data Entry/Patient Support Technician
Fulfillment/Production Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Some Saturday rotations included

Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare and compound non-sterile and sterile prescriptions ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
Manage data entry tasks including patient support documentation and order processing
Fulfill and produce pharmaceutical orders efficiently, maintaining compliance with pharmacy protocols
Collaborate with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to maintain smooth workflow and timely medication dispensing

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Previous pharmacy technician experience, particularly in compounding environments, is highly valued
Strong knowledge of non-sterile and sterile compounding techniques preferred for compounding technician role
Proficiency with pharmacy software and accurate data entry skills essential for data entry/patient support role
Attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict safety and quality protocols
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Pharmacy Technician certification or licensure as required by state regulations

This contract opportunity is set to begin immediately and extends for 13 weeks, with options for contract-to-hire or direct hire placements based on performance and mutual fit. Ideal for pharmacy technicians seeking to expand their expertise in a specialized, fast-paced pharmacy environment.
