Lead Infant Teacher

Are you passionate about infant development and ready to lead a classroom where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow? Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate care while guiding a classroom team.

In this role, you’ll lead curriculum implementation, support assistant teachers, build meaningful relationships with families, and create a nurturing learning environment that promotes infants’ cognitive, motor, social, and emotional development.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $18–$21 per hour, based on experience
• Sign-On Bonus: $300
• Schedule: Full-time, M-F 9am - 5:30pm
• Location: 4550 Red Bank Expy, Cincinnati, OH 45227

Job Responsibilities

Lead the Classroom & Support Child Development

• Create and maintain a safe, responsive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate infant classroom.
• Implement curriculum aligned with SUTQ standards and the Creative Curriculum.
• Support infants’ cognitive, motor, social, and emotional development through engaging daily experiences.
• Balance child-initiated activities with teacher-guided learning opportunities.
• Observe children’s development and use assessment information to support individualized learning experiences.
• Maintain a classroom environment that promotes healthy development, exploration, and school readiness.

Lead & Support Your Classroom Team

• Provide classroom leadership and guidance to assistant teachers.
• Lead and support assistant teachers in daily classroom activities and routines.
• Promote effective communication, teamwork, and consistency across the classroom.
• Model responsive, developmentally appropriate interactions with children.
• Support a collaborative environment focused on high-quality care and learning.

Partner with Families & Professionals

• Establish positive, respectful, and productive relationships with children’s families.
• Communicate regularly with families about each child’s progress, development, and daily experiences.
• Respond to parent questions and concerns professionally and compassionately.
• Collaborate with therapists, specialists, and internal teams to address individual children’s needs.
• Support partnerships that promote children’s well-being and developmental progress.

Support Program Quality & Compliance

• Ensure classroom practices align with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services licensing requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation, lesson plans, assessments, and child portfolios.
• Support enrollment efforts and program quality goals.
• Participate in required trainings and ongoing professional development.
• Contribute to a high-quality early learning environment that supports children, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• CDA or associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Meets Career Pathways Level (CPL) 3 requirements through the Ohio Early Childhood Professional Development Network (Ohio ECPDN).
• Direct experience teaching in an infant classroom.
• Strong knowledge of infant development and social-emotional learning.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with classroom team members.
• Flexibility, dependability, and a commitment to high-quality early childhood care.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of an infant classroom.
