Fixed Asset Accountant

Job Description Job Description IMMEDIATE NEED! We are currently seeking applicants for a Fixed Asset Accountant role with a company in Greensboro. Due to a company wide project, this is an immediate need. This role will be responsible for a company wide Fixed Asset reconciliation project. Please review the job description to determine if this might be the right fit: Responsibilities Review current leases to determine compliance of new accounting standards Track the completion of costs into fixed asset accounts related to projects Prepare and verify the accuracy of journal entries Reconciliations of fixed asset sub-ledgers to general ledger Responsible for coordinating the fixed asset physical inventory process Responsible for preparation and filing of business licenses and other compliance filings, as assigned. Assist with coordinating and providing information for compliance audits (sales tax, property tax, etc). Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, as assigned, including preparing and entering journal entries. Assist with month-end close process, as assigned. Develop as a resource to assist with researching sales tax compliance issues and questions. Assist in preparation of annual budget and forecasts, particularly as relates to fixed assets. Qualifications Completed Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with MS 365 highly preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with analysis/data manipulation This is a progressive company with an excellent team structure.
