The RN (Registered Nurse) in the Telemetry unit provides care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, including cardiac caths, EP studies, and pacemakers. The nurse must have PCU experience, be able to read strips, and manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5, with occasional higher patient load on nights.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret cardiac strips
• Titrate drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine
• Provide care in all areas, including PCU, MS, and handle ER Holds/boarding
• Operate and troubleshoot RT Equipment such as Bipap and trachs
• Participate in scheduling and maintain weekend and holiday rotation requirements

Requirements:

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Telemetry and cardiac RN experience with PCU background
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed
