Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.As a material handler in our Dayton distribution center you will perform a variety of warehouse and material movement activities to ensure customer orders, inventory, and warehouse needs are fulfilled accurately and on time. This role is essential to maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant distribution center operations.Key responsibilities include:Perform receiving, picking, checking, and loading activities in accordance with SOPs and work instructionsAccurately complete system transactions to maintain inventory integrityOperate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, RF scanners, shrink wrappers, dock equipment, and related toolsConduct required equipment safety checks and report unsafe conditions immediatelySupport material flow including put-away, replenishment, and line service activitiesMeet established productivity, quality, and safety performance standardsYou have:Forklift experience (required, stand-up Crown preferred)Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment preferredSkill in safely operating material handling equipmentStrong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized work instructionsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with changing prioritiesEffective communication and teamwork skillsTo perform this job successfully, candidates must be able to meet the following essential requirements:Must have the ability to successfully obtain and maintain internal powered industrial truck (forklift) certification within five (5) working days of placement into the positionDemonstrate ability to safely perform material movement tasks including picking, loading, and equipment operation at all times.Meet required training and proficiency expectations for assigned material handler level and tasks (including task and route proficiency as applicable)Comply with all safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures at all timesCandidates must be able to meet and maintain all job requirements, training expectations, and certifications outlined for this roleWe have:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every dayCommitment to strengthen communities where our employees live and workCore values that shape our culture and drive us to deliver the best for our employees and our customersBenefits to support the lives of our employeesPay Transparency nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
