Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment providing critical care to patients in an emergency setting. This position will involve floating to ICU when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on evidence-based practices.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
Document all patient interactions and care provided in an electronic medical record (EMR).
Float to ICU as required and provide care in accordance with hospital policies.

Shift Details

Shift Type: Nights
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Yes

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing.
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Patient Ratios: 4:1
Average Daily Patient Volume: 35 patients
Number of Beds: 11 beds with 1 trauma bay
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Additional Notes

This position is within a Critical Access Hospital. Candidates should be prepared to float among multiple locations within the region as needed.
