Bonus Amount: $10,000 Overview We are seeking an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN), also referred to as an ICU RN, Intensive Care Nurse or Intensive Care Unit RN. The ICU RN will provide intensive care to patients with life‑threatening conditions, utilize advanced skills in critical care settings, make quick decisions, and show compassion to all patients. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, blood oxygen levels, administering IV fluids, and communicating with the medical team to modify care plans. Employment Details Employment Type: Full Time Shifts Available: Nights Hours: 12‑hour shifts (7:00 pm to 7:00 am) Location: Dallas Medical Center – Farmers Branch, Texas Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options Employer 401(k) options Tuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance options Many other amazing benefits Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions Use advanced equipment like cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and capnography devices to continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters Safely administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products with precise dosing and timing, closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions Manage life-support devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors Provide emotional support and education to patients" families, acting as a liaison to ensure they understand the care being provided Document all aspects of patient care to ensure continuity and compliance while rigorously maintaining infection control and safety protocols to protect vulnerable patients Qualifications Current and valid state RN License Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus Completion of Critical Care Course preferred Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, critical care preferred Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
