Job Summary and Responsibilities $15,000 Sign on bonus offered for fully qualified new hires. Current employees are not eligible, per policy. Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards. Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating. Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit. Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system. Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership. Precepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments. Job Requirements Minimum: One (1) year of labor and delivery experience as an RN required in an acute care setting. Associate's Degree, Nursing (ADN) Current California RN license Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association) Current ACLS and NRP certifications required within 3 months of hire (American Heart Association) Basic AWHONN fetal monitoring acceptable at hire, but must complete the Intermediate AWHONN course within 6 months of hire AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course every two years thereafter or obtain NCC Fetal Monitoring Certification and maintain as specified Preferred: One (1) year Labor and delivery C/Section/PACU, OBED, Postpartum/Newborn Nursery Unit experience Where You’ll Work Founded in 1973, Dignity Health - Methodist Hospital is a 158-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Sacramento, California.
