Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to a diverse patient population in a high-volume, Level II trauma center. Deliver evidence-based interventions, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon arrival, prioritize care, and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer medications, including IV therapy and emergency medications, following hospital protocols.
• Perform and document clinical procedures such as cardiac monitoring, triage assessments, and airway management.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members using respectful, patient-centered approach.
• Maintain safety standards, including adherence to infection control, document accurately in Cerner, and utilize hospital equipment effectively.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including trauma and stroke cases, and support unit protocols for high-acuity care.

Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Level 2 trauma or high-volume emergency department.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days of hire).
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical skills, including emergency procedures and patient stabilization.
• Flexibility to float within ED sections and work various shifts as required.
