About Us
Streamline Media Group is a 25-year creative development studio specializing in full video game development, co-development, publishing, and interactive digital asset production. We have shipped titles across every major platform for clients, including Sony, Microsoft, and global AAA publishers.
Mid-Level Concept Artist
We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Concept Artist on a freelance/contract basis to collaborate with our team in the gaming industry.
You will collaborate with game designers, art directors, and other artists to bring imaginative worlds, characters, and creatures to life. Your creativity and visual storytelling skills will be essential in shaping the visual direction of our projects. As a Mid-Level Concept Artist, you will play a crucial role in the early stages of game development, translating concepts and ideas into visually stunning art that drives gameplay and narrative. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the visual elements align with the game's vision and mechanics. Your artistic insight will help establish the overall aesthetic, mood, and tone of the game.
This is a fully remote, project-based engagement: scope, deliverables, timelines, and rates are defined per work order. It is not a full-time employment position.
Job Skills
Concept Artist will possess the following competencies:
- Visual Communication Fundamentals Production-ready
- Design Thinking and Problem SolvingPhotoshop (Or equivalent industry standard image editing software) Production-ready
- Blender or equivalent industry standard 3D software as part of a concept workflow Production-ready
- Subject Matter Expertise (At least 2 of: Character, Environment, Creature, Prop, Mechanical) Production-ready
- Game asset pipeline understanding Production-ready
Additional Skills
Every Concept Artist must also demonstrate at least one (1) additional competency at production-ready proficiency:
- Pre-Visualization / Visual Development
- Illustration
- UI Design
- Unreal Engine 5
- Stylized art
Deliverables Expectations
- On-time delivery of project deliverables
- Outcomes delivered as per project specifications, consistently
- Time spent on an outcome is within project or budgeted mandays
