Associate (Litigation 3rd - 4th-5th Year)

Overview New York, New York – Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP is seeking a 4th or 5th year associate to join the New York Litigation-General practice group in the Litigation Global Business Unit. Responsibilities Handle all aspects of litigation including fact investigation, pleadings, discovery, experts, motions, pretrial, trial, settlement, and related matters. Prepare witnesses for deposition, draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements. Manage filing and service of pleadings, and maintain strong business and client relationships. Exercise strong professional judgment, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate organizational and matter‑management skills. Qualifications Strong academic credentials and excellent communication, interpersonal, oral advocacy, research, writing, and analytical skills. 4th‑ or 5th‑year associate with experience in all aspects of discovery and litigation. Previous or current employment with an Am Law 100 firm is desirable. Bachelor's degree; Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school. Member of the New York State Bar in good standing. Benefits and Compensation Pay range: $310,000 – $365,000 (final offer dependent on skill set and experience).
