Job Title: Assembler Job Description

This full-time manufacturing role is based in Tennessee and focuses on assembling components and finished products while maintaining high quality and safety standards. As an Assembly Associate, you will work in a fast-paced environment, using hand and power tools to build, inspect, and prepare products for shipment. This position requires strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions and safety protocols consistently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and final products by following established blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.

• Use hand tools, power tools, and automated manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently during the assembly process.

• Perform regular quality checks to ensure all products meet specifications and promptly identify and report defects or inconsistencies.

• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily and weekly production goals, communicating effectively to support smooth workflow.

• Notify supervisors promptly of any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues that may impact production.

• Package finished goods accurately and prepare them for shipment, including labeling, wrapping, and organizing products as needed.

• Participate in training on 1st shift for 2–4 weeks to learn processes, equipment, and quality standards before transitioning to assigned shift.

• Support different areas of the facility as needed, using hand and power tools to assist with various tasks and projects.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or assembly environment preferred.

• Ability to stand for long periods, up to 10 hours per shift.

• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift.

• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise assembly work.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Reliable transportation and a strong record of consistent attendance.

• Demonstrated commitment to following all safety guidelines and procedures.

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior assembly line experience is beneficial.

• Experience using hand and power tools from personal projects such as fixing cars or home repairs is welcomed.

• Willingness to assist in different areas of the facility as operational needs arise.

• Ability to learn and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and written work instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

• Team-oriented attitude with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean machine shop environment that is partially climate controlled, supporting comfort and productivity throughout the year. Available shifts include a 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and a 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM, offering a four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts. New hires on 2nd shift complete 2–4 weeks of training on 1st shift to ensure proper onboarding and skills development. The facility emphasizes safety, organization, and the effective use of hand tools, power tools, and automated manufacturing equipment as part of daily operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
