Details\n \n General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients \n Non-trauma emergency department setting \n Community hospital environment \n Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) \n 36 or 48 hour weekly option \n 1:3 patient ratio \n Epic EMR charting required \n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration \n Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required \n Prior travel nursing experience required \n Community hospital experience required \n Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS \n Charge nurse experience preferred \n Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central line care/management \n Experience starting and maintaining IVs \n Respiratory care experience, including care of ventilated patients \n Experience with IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation preferred \n Experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring \n Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias \n Orthopedic and neurological patient care experience, including ortho trauma and spinal cord injury preferred \n Experience with head injury and near drowning cases preferred \n Additional Information\n \n Provide emergency care in a STEMI and Stroke certified facility \n No travel pairs or groups accepted \n First-time travelers may be considered if minimum experience requirements are met \n Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler \n Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted \n Not open to candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties \n All requested RTO must be listed at time of consideration \n No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-756406.
