About this Role The Clean Energy Finance (CEF) team is seeking a Vice President or Director to join its origination team, which provides tax equity financing and tax credit transfer transactions for Citi’s clients. This role will be instrumental in driving the origination, structuring, and execution of tax equity financings for Citi clients in the renewable energy and sustainable technologies sectors. The Clean Energy Finance team has extensive expertise in originating, structuring, and executing financings across various renewable energy and sustainable technology platforms, including wind, solar (utility scale photovoltaic, distributed, and residential rooftop), battery storage, advanced manufacturing, energy efficiency, and other emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in tax equity transactions, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to cultivate and manage client relationships effectively. The successful candidate will lead deal teams, leveraging deep industry knowledge and relationships to expand Citi’s presence in the tax equity and tax credit transfer markets. They will have relevant knowledge and experience working with tax equity structures, understand federal tax incentives for renewables development such as Production Tax Credits (PTCs) and Investment Tax Credits (ITCs), and possess familiarity with tax equity HLBV accounting as well as the tax treatment of partnership and lease structures. The candidate should also have experience in selling related tax credits to corporate investors.
