Bakery Manager

Pay Range: $22.50- $29.25

Sign on Bonus: $1,500

SUMMARY

Lead a bakery department where quality, presentation, customer service, and team performance come together.

As a Bakery Manager , you’ll oversee the day-to-day bakery operation and lead your team in achieving financial, product quality, presentation, and customer service goals. You’ll ensure the department meets corporate and state sanitation standards while creating a welcoming experience for every Price Chopper customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Your Team & Department

Manage day-to-day department operations, including:

• Provide proper supervision and direction to bakery department staff.
• Schedule and staff the department appropriately to meet business needs.
• Hire, train, develop, and support departmental associates.
• Document performance issues and recommend disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure associates follow company dress code requirements.
• Ensure all associates comply with Federal and State laws and corporate safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Ensure associates provide the highest level of fast, friendly, and efficient customer service.
• Promote C.H.O.P.S behaviors and adherence to 5S standards at all times.
• Understand and follow the corporate code of conduct.

Drive Department Performance

Monitor, control, and achieve pre-established financial results for the department, including:

• Payroll
• Sales
• Gross Profit
• CTO
• Shrink
• Inventory levels

Create an Outstanding Bakery Presentation

Responsible for the appropriate merchandising of department products, including:

• Ensure products are displayed according to Corporate planograms and special programs.
• Maintain complete knowledge of department products to assist customers.
• Ensure proper shelf and display conditions are maintained.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels, especially for sale items.
• Ensure proper item rotation.
• Ensure the department complies with all corporate, Federal, and State signing policies and regulations.

Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related experience.
