Lin Zhao Insurance Agency, a Farmers Insurance agency, is hiring a Bilingual Insurance Customer Service Representative fluent in English and either Mandarin Chinese or Spanish.

You’ll help existing clients with policy questions and service requests, build lasting relationships, and recommend coverage based on their needs. The role also includes developing leads, following up on quotes and referrals, and working toward customer service and sales goals.

Bring your communication, customer service, and follow-up skills. We provide hands-on training, mentorship, and licensing support. Previous insurance experience is welcome but is not required to apply.

Compensation and benefits:

• Base pay of $26–$30 per hour, depending on experience.

• Additional commissions and performance bonuses, with target total annual compensation of approximately $80,000 when established service and sales goals are met.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients and prospects by phone, email, and in person, responding professionally and following through on requests.

- Handle policy changes, renewals, billing questions, payments, and insurance documents.

- Identify client needs, explain coverage options clearly, prepare quotes, and assist with applications.

- Develop leads, follow up on referrals and outstanding quotes, and identify appropriate cross-selling opportunities.

- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, organize follow-up activities, and collaborate with the team to meet service and sales goals.

Requirements

- Fluent in English and either Mandarin Chinese or Spanish, with professional spoken and written communication skills.

- Strong customer service, active listening, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.

- Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented, with a positive attitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Comfortable initiating conversations, identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate coverage, and working toward sales goals.

- Comfortable using email and Microsoft Office and learning new software. Familiarity with CRM or agency management systems is a plus.

- High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in customer service, insurance, sales, banking, retail, hospitality, or financial services is preferred.

- A California Property Casualty insurance license is preferred but not required to apply. Licensing support is provided; the required license must be obtained before your start date.

- Authorized to work in the United States and available to work full-time, Monday–Friday, at 1550 Washington Boulevard, Fremont, CA 94539.
