The Admissions Coordinator plays a vital role in the admissions process by evaluating the clinical and financial eligibility of prospective clients. This position works closely with the Call Center and Admissions teams to ensure clients are appropriately screened, financially qualified, and placed at the appropriate level of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Commercial and out-of-network insurance verification experience required
• 2+ years in the out of network sector preferred
• Previous admissions or call center experience preferred
• Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and the recovery process
• Strong understanding of insurance verification, client financial responsibility, and admissions processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Assess the clinical and financial eligibility of prospective clients.
• Verify commercial insurance benefits and determine out-of-network coverage and client financial responsibility.
• Review payment options and calculate any out-of-pocket costs for prospective clients.
• Evaluate pre-assessments and medical records to determine the appropriate level of care.
• Collaborate with the Call Center team and Admissions leadership to facilitate timely admissions.
• Communicate financial and clinical eligibility decisions professionally and accurately.
• Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Provide support to the Call Center team throughout the admissions process.
