Registered Nurse - Oncology

Call for Salary Rate -

Job Summary:

Provides specialized outpatient infusion nursing care for patients receiving various treatments, including IV antibiotics, immunoglobulin therapy, and CNS medications. Ensures safe, efficient delivery of therapy while maintaining compliance with all licensing, certification, and institutional requirements.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer IV infusions, medications, and therapies according to established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  
  
• 
  Maintain and troubleshoot infusion devices and central venous access devices such as PICC lines.
  
  
• 
  Document all patient interventions and therapy details accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC preferred).
  
  
• 
  Educate patients on self-administration of medications and post-infusion care.
  
  
• 
  Follow all licensing, certification, de-escalation training, and compliance requirements prior to and during assignment.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current RN license, with required NY state licenses and certifications uploaded with profile.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of outpatient oncology and infusion experience.
  
  
• 
  Certified in chemo administration (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
  
  
• 
  Peripheral IV insertion, port/fistula/catheter access, and IV certification required or highly preferred.
  
  
• 
  EPIC electronic health record experience required.
  
  
• 
  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
