Key Responsibilities of the RN - Psychiatric - Travel

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
• Plan and provide nursing care for patients.
• Make nursing diagnoses and recommend treatment options.
• Consult with psychiatrists and other staff to design appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
• Arrange further medical attention when necessary.
• Assist clients in understanding emotional disturbances and the need for treatment.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
• Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician's written orders.
• Perform administrative assignments such as filing, answering phones, and completing progress notes in the computer system.

Requirements of the RN - Psychiatric - Travel

• NY License ONLY
• BLS Certification (AHA) ONLY
• Telemetry
• Minimum 2 years experience
