Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric care for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This role involves working in a dynamic psych ER environment, providing critical care and support to patients with varying psychiatric needs.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Psychiatric - Travel

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
• Plan and provide nursing care for patients.
• Make nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options.
• Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients.
• Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
• Arrange further medical attention when necessary.
• Assist the client in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
• Test for vital signs of pain and ensure treatments of pain.
• Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician's written orders.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results according to standard medical recordkeeping.
• Perform administrative assignments such as filing, answering phones, typing, and completing progress notes in the computer system.
• Provide courteous, high-quality service to patients and the public by personally responding to requests for service or making appropriate referrals.

Requirements of the RN - Psychiatric - Travel

• NY License ONLY
• BLS Certification (AHA) ONLY
• Telemetry experience
• Minimum 2 years experience
