Colon and Rectal Surgeon – Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical Track) The University of Utah is seeking a board‑eligible or board‑certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon to join the Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. Current fellows and early to mid‑career surgeons are encouraged to apply. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to join a well‑established and supportive program in a great location, to work and live in Salt Lake City, UT. The successful candidate will join a group of five surgeons supported by a Physician Assistant, General Surgical Residents, and an ACGME‑accredited Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellow. The full‑time equivalent (FTE) allotment for this role is 0.90 clinical with an additional 0.10 for professional development in research, administration, or education. As the tertiary referral center for the largest geographic catchment area in the continental United States, the section provides evaluation and management of a wide range of colon and rectal diseases, including complex multidisciplinary care of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and pelvic floor disorders. Surgeons also serve as teaching faculty for the University of Utah General Surgery Residency Program and the Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship. Leadership opportunities within the Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery, the Division of Surgical Oncology, or the Department of Surgery may exist for the appropriate candidate.
