DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU WILL NEED GM IMMIGRATION SPONSORSHIP (e.g., H-1B, TN, STEM OPT, etc.) NOW OR IN THE FUTURE.The Role:Responsible to plan, execute, deploy and maintain WMS processes and configuration. This coordination requires interfacing with MGO, Electronic pull system, and Production Pull System daily.What You'll Do:Evaluate current material processes compared to BOP and develop action items to resolve gapsActively participates in detail business requirements gathering and achievement of project milestonesWMS Training development and execution lead for End UsersSupport operational Group Leaders, Team Leaders and Team members in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Identify, plan and lead operational plant readiness activities to deploy WMSPlanning and operational support for all systems (MGO, PPS, EPS, WMS)WMS, EPS and PPS configuration focal pointResponsible for monitoring gaps in MGO routings and displacementsResponsible for planning, configuration, and validation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Key User Training (KUT)Operational WMS focal point after Go Live – ensures that there are no interruptions to the assembly line or warehouse due to system issuesDevelop and lead Manual Operation Process (MOP) at the shop floorResponsible for KPI’s, metrics, and data reporting to leadership and central office (including enhancements) aiming at Productivity OpportunitiesConfiguration lead for CI process – EPS/PPS/Sequencing/Kitting/build changes and the ability to adapt on the fly to changes that impact the production floorTechnical support for global label compliance processQualifications (Basic Required):F unctional capability with supply chain floor systems like MGO, EPS, PPS, VBIMS, etc.U nderstanding of supply chain and lean material processes; Logistics, Receiving, Internal Material Flow, LMS kitting/sequencing, Scrap, ObsolescenceC omputer skills towards data management (Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel (Advanced), PowerBI, Access, PowerPoint)Ability to travel as needed on a local scale for training purpose if requiredAbility to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks in a project, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time, with ability to meet project timelinesAnalytical ability where problems are complexKnowledge of work measurement and work standardsKnowledge of manufacturing and assembly processesDemonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area requiredAppropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals requiredEstablishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or projectCoordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptionsOpen minded and willing to use data to improve productivity; use data to help drive productivity improvements in the plantKeeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertiseActively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunitiesSelf-propelled to bring productivity opportunities to Leadership Team driven by WMS data.About GMOur vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.Why Join UsWe believe we all must make a choice every day – individually and collectively – to drive meaningful change through our words, our deeds and our culture.
