Instrument Repair

Location & Schedule Detroit Manufacturing Plant. Onsite. Ability to work any shift assigned. Responsibilities Assist Engineering with prototype part measurements for new projects. Physical dimensional measurement gauging repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance (mechanical and electronic). Torque measurements repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance (mechanical and electronic). Pressure, flow and vacuum measurement gauging repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance (mechanical and electronic). Tachometric measurement gauging repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance (mechanical and electronic). Electro‑mechanical gauging fixtures utilizing air/electric and LVDT transducers, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance. Electronic LED columns with data and serial output, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance. Automated CPU gauging systems, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance. Electro‑mechanical force gauging systems, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance. Shop and engineering test standards (mechanical, electric and electronic), repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance. Electro‑mechanical surface finish gauging, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance. Various specialized in‑plant electro‑mechanical production gauging systems unique to DDC, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance. Leak testers (internal to cabinet). Qualifications GED or High School Diploma required. Certified Journeyperson card holder or ability to document 8 years of experience. Good written and verbal communication skills. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Strong computer/software skills including Microsoft Office and Prism. Willingness to be cross‑functionally trained. Ability to work any shift assigned. Ability to work effectively with production teams, engineering, service technicians and management staff.
