Tax Manager
We're looking for a high-performing Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements, drive strategic client outcomes, and mentor a growing team. What You'll Do
Lead & Deliver
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns (1040s, S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs, trusts)
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely filing across all engagements
Advise & Strategize
- Provide advanced tax planning and identify opportunities to minimize client tax liabilities
- Conduct in-depth tax research and translate complex regulations into clear, actionable advice
- Act as a trusted advisor for clients on sophisticated tax matters
Build Relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients
- Strengthen long-term partnerships through proactive communication and strategic guidance
Lead & Develop Talent
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of tax professionals
- Delegate effectively while maintaining high-quality deliverables
- Support continuous learning and technical development
Drive Efficiency & Innovation
- Improve workflows, controls, and tax processes to enhance accuracy and reduce risk
- Leverage tools like Lacerte, UltraTax, CCH Axcess, and Thomson Reuters to streamline work
What You Bring
- CPA license (required)
- Proven experience as a Tax Manager or senior tax professional
- Strong expertise in individual & entity taxation (1040s, S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs, trusts)
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and delivering results
- Proficiency with tax software and strong Excel skills
- Exceptional communication skills - able to simplify complex tax concepts
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MST/MAcc a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
