RTV Clerk Part Time

Job Summary Responsible for supporting an exceptional member shopping experience by processing and sorting damaged or defective and/or returned merchandise, reducing salvage, obtaining return authorizations from vendors, and re‑wrapping sellable merchandise. Team Members carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned, support the application of club policies, procedures and compliance, and ensure a safe and positive environment for members and colleagues. Key Responsibilities Work with speed and accuracy to facilitate organized processes. Accurately process damaged or defective merchandise per salvage, donation, vendor return, reverse logistics, hazardous waste and destroy procedures. Obtain return authorizations from vendors, process vendor chargebacks, and package and ship merchandise returns based on vendor return policies. Maintain correct stock and inventory status for all damaged, defective and returned merchandise. Assess breakage logs for leaking, spoiled and broken merchandise and process items out of inventory. Process freezer and dairy damages. Understand and administer community donation program orders. Conduct daily safety walks, escalating findings to Asset Protection Supervisor. Support Inventory Control Count Team in executing count processing. Review daily return reports, process merchandise recalls and tire and battery returns, ensuring AFS and release dates are followed. Ensure books are stocked and book returns are executed in partnership with the RICS. Process 945/948/950 in partnership with the AP Specialist. Re‑wrap sellable merchandise according to seal and shrink‑wrap guidelines. Keep the department organized and clean, following safety, filing, and lock‑up standards. Maintain all club policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned, including work in other departments. Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance. Qualifications Successfully complete required training and certification processes. Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills. At least 18 years of age. Ability to move about on hard surfaces, bend, climb, reach, stoop, and push or pull pallets using a pallet jack. Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds, and with assistance, move or lift heavier objects. Experience working with hazardous materials and exposure to extreme temperatures in freezers and coolers.
