Warehouse Supervisor II

Job Summary To coach and otherwise guide a team of employees to achieve optimum levels of productivity, quality and safety while meeting operational deadlines and budgets. This includes recruiting and hiring qualified employees, ensuring they receive all necessary training and education, and maintaining a high performance work environment through goal setting, operating principles, communication, and fair treatment. The supervisor must take corrective action when necessary to address poor performance or behavior that puts the team or the company at risk. This position is identified as safety sensitive and requires successful completion of pre‑employment drug testing, which may include testing for marijuana in accordance with applicable laws. Key Accountabilities Meet all production and distribution objectives and deadlines within the established budget. Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members. Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions. Coordinate, assign, and review work. Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished. Ensure all team members receive required instruction in safety procedures, equipment use, performance standards, disciplinary processes, and company policies. Maintain timely, effective, and professional communication with internal and external customers and suppliers. Maintain accurate records, filing, and administrative duties as required. Report accidents or incidents within the facility immediately and forward reports to the Operations Manager within 24 hours. Monitor working conditions to ensure safety and take corrective or disciplinary action as necessary. Apply problem solving techniques (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Kaizen) to resolve personnel and quality issues in a timely manner. Perform any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager or Plant Manager. Operate directly on the warehouse floor and around heavy machinery. Qualifications Basic math and reading skills obtained by a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have basic computer skills. Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel. Demonstrates ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience. Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring. Demonstrates leadership and team‑building skills—even if from unrelated organizations. Safety mindset. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2–3 years previous supervisory experience in a related field. Knowledge of metals handling for staging, processing, packaging, and shipping. First‑aid and CPR training. Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, lean practices, and sales functions.
