Business Applications Developer - Contract (6–9 Months)
Potential for Extension or Direct Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Application Developer to support and enhance critical business applications, reporting systems, and technology solutions within a fast-paced construction and industrial environment. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing business systems that improve operational efficiency, support strategic initiatives, and provide valuable business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Applications & Systems

• Administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance business applications and ERP systems.
• Support and optimize Viewpoint Vista ERP functionality and integrations.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop, test, implement, and maintain system enhancements and process improvements.

Reporting & Analytics

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
• Create meaningful business intelligence tools using Power BI.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, reports, and data models.
• Provide visibility into key operational and financial metrics.

Application Development & Integrations

• Develop and maintain application integrations, APIs, and data workflows.
• Support front-end and back-end application functionality.
• Assist with implementation and administration of business systems and third-party applications.

Infrastructure & Cloud Technologies

• Support Microsoft 365 administration and related business solutions.
• Assist with Azure cloud planning, migrations, and ongoing management.
• Support infrastructure and security initiatives as needed.

Technical Support

• Provide advanced application support and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot complex business system and data-related issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure system reliability and performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience administering and developing within Viewpoint Vista ERP.
• Strong understanding of ERP front-end and back-end functionality.
• Experience with SQL tables, database structures, and query development .
• Experience creating dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI .
• Experience with application development, APIs, and system integrations.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and implementation.
• Experience with Azure cloud technologies, migrations, and management.
• Understanding of enterprise application planning, analysis, testing, and implementation.
• General knowledge of desktop operating systems, servers, networking, and security.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the construction industry.
• Experience supporting or administering third-party business applications such as:
• • CRM platforms
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Other enterprise business applications
• Experience with additional ERP platforms such as Acumatica.
