Legal Malpractice & Professional Liability Partner:

Our firm is looking for an experienced litigation partner to lead and grow its Legal Malpractice and Accountants Malpractice practice in Los Angeles - a rare chance to take ownership of a sophisticated, nationally supported practice group with a clear path to influence firm strategy. 

What you'll do - 

• Lead day-to-day operations and long-term growth of the Legal Malpractice, Accountants Malpractice, and Professional Liability practice group 
• Manage complex defense matters through all phases of state and federal litigation, including regulatory and professional-organization proceedings 
• Build and maintain relationships with insurers, insured professionals, brokers, and institutional clients 
• Mentor and supervise associates, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development  
• Drive business development and cross-selling initiatives in collaboration with firm leadership and related practice groups 
• Represent clients before professional organization committees and in regulatory proceedings 
• Contribute to firm strategy as a recognized leader within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment 

What you need - 

• Active admission to the California State Bar 
• 10+ years of legal malpractice and/or accountants malpractice defense experience
• Demonstrated litigation leadership, including first-chair trial or arbitration experience 
• Experience representing insurers and/or insured professionals in complex civil matters 
• Working fluency with accounting and auditing documents, financial statements, and related expert issues 

Nice to have -  

• Established portable book of business (welcomed but not required) 
• Relationships with professional liability insurers or brokers 
• Experience in federal court or multi-jurisdictional matters 
• Prior experience mentoring junior attorneys or managing a practice group 

Benefits

Pay & benefits:

Base salary: $200K-$300K (commensurate with experience and market location) 

Bonus: Dual program - discretionary bonus plus a billable-hours-based bonus, providing meaningful upside beyond base
