Field Support Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - 125,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field and 4-7 years of embedded systems experience
- U.S. citizenship
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with software and hardware installation, plus knowledge of networking concepts including UDP and TCP/IP
- Experience with wire harness fabrication, soldering, and interpreting engineering fabrication drawings and procedures
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Background check and U.S. citizenship required due to government contract obligations
- 3+ years of field engineering support for UAV or robotic systems preferred
- Experience with video and data communications over Ethernet preferred
- Experience succeeding in a startup environment with strong adaptability preferred
- Unmanned aircraft development experience is a plus
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and handle them simultaneously
- Ability to understand complex problems and develop effective solutions
- Work closely with our engineering team
- Support customer field issues in a fast-paced environment
- Test, repair, replace parts, load software and firmware, and validate systems for operational deployment
- Resolve complex UAV issues with minimal supervision, including challenges related to radios, electronics, software, and networking
- Provide engineering support for field demonstrations and trade shows
- Travel up to 40% of the time to remote locations worldwide to support business needs
- Provide extended-hours and 7-day support while onsite with customers
