Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group using established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines while employing critical thinking and professional judgment.
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, and determine diagnosis and care needs.
- Develop and implement a care plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment.
- Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families, provide health information, and collaborate with the care team; delegate duties as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (state of practice) or equivalent as required by the state.
- BSN degree preferred.
- Minimum two years of recent ER/acute care experience.
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS).
- EPIC EMR experience required.
- Ability to work nights and function effectively in a rural, high-acuity ER setting.
