Finance Manager

Location: Louisville, KY | Schedule: Full-time, hybrid, remote 2 days a week Overview A recently established U.S. headquarters for an international company in expansion mode is seeking a Manager of Accounting & Finance to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. Reporting to a Group Finance Director based overseas in Europe, this role is a critical leadership function driving accurate month-end close, cash flow forecasting, and strategic financial planning, while partnering cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and executive leadership on project performance, capital expenditures, and business results. What you'll do Lead and manage the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Oversee Blackline reconciliations and system uploads Produce monthly financial statements and reporting packages with narrative analysis Present financial results to leadership and participate in monthly review meetings Own the 13-week cash flow forecast and ongoing liquidity analysis Support monthly rolling forecasts and budget updates Analyze variances between actuals, forecast, and budget Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements Oversee preparation and filing of returns and reports Manage relationships with external advisors and auditors Partner with engineering and operations to track CAPEX and project budgets Monitor project costs and timelines Manage asset capitalization processes Identify and implement process improvements Drive automation and efficiency in financial systems Provide oversight and guidance to accounting staff Serve as a key finance partner to operations and leadership Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 8–12+ years of experience in accounting/finance Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting ERP and financial systems experience with tools such as D365 Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail Excellent communication and leadership abilities Preferred qualifications CPA preferred MBA a plus Power BI a plus Experience with tax credits and incentives Project or capital accounting experience Multi-entity or international exposure Why this role This is a critical leadership position within a recently established U.S. headquarters that is currently in expansion mode, offering the opportunity to shape financial processes and partner directly with operations, engineering, and executive leadership. #J-18808-Ljbffr
