Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adults with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across multiple units, including ICU and post-operative patients.
- Conduct dysphagia screening and provide therapy for swallowing disorders; incorporate MBS/FEES if proficient.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, document assessments, progress notes, and discharge planning in the medical record; communicate with physicians and nursing staff.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and support care for patients with neurological, respiratory, and complex medical diagnoses.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to facility policies; educate patients and family members about ongoing care and discharge goals.

Requirements
- Active Georgia license for Speech-Language Pathologist and CCC-SLP certification required.
- AHA BLS certification required.
- Minimum 15–18 months of recent acute care experience in the specialty.
- Ability to work in an inpatient acute care setting with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, stroke, dysphagia, and cognitive impairments.
- Prior acute care experience strongly desirable; MBS/FEES proficiency is a plus but not required.
