MDW Associates is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to support our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, serving as a customer-focused leader of sustainment and enhancement efforts associated with a newly implemented Appian based software suite of tools focused on Acquisition, Human Resources and Financial Management. This individual will lead software developers and other technical personnel as needed. The Technical Delivery Manager will serve as an interface between the government customer and the development team.This is a hybrid position with work based in Huntsville, Alabama. Candidates must be within a two-hour commuting distance or be willing to relocate.The Technical Delivery Manager may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:Customer Engagement Serve as the primary point of contactBuild and maintain strong, trusted customer relationships Lead meetings including sprint reviews, status updates, and issue resolution Manage customer expectations, risks, and dependencies Delivery Ownership Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality Drive sprint planning, prioritization, and backlog refinement in collaboration with development groupMonitor progress, identify risks, and minimize schedule delaysEnsure alignment between government customer requirements and technical implementation Technical & Product Expertise Maintain strong understanding of the product architecture, capabilities, and limitations Provide hands-on guidance when neededEnsure product configurations and customizations are aligned with the customer's strategic direction Team Leadership Work with Helpdesk to proactively build solutions to common user issuesSupport team workload management Provide performance feedback and contribute to professional development Operational Excellence Track delivery metrics and report status to internal stakeholders Drive process improvements across delivery workflows Ensure documentation standards and governance requirements are met Contribute to best practices and reusable frameworks Required Experience/Skills:Strong decision-making skillsStrong Time Management skillsAbility to multi-task and shift to customer needsAbility to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersAbility to explain business process rules, government regulations, and government accounting to developersStrong Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams skillsExperience in customer-facing rolesExcellent problem-solving skillsAgile practices (Scrums, Sprints, Stories, etc.)Knowledge of Software Development Life CycleDesired Experience/Skills:Experience leading teams of developersMS/MA in business, technical or related field with 10 years or greater of DoW Experience, especially in Software Development/SustainmentExperience with Appian or any SaaS ProductExperience with JiraKnowledge of Government Acquisition ProcessKnowledge of Government Accounting and Financial ManagementKnowledge of Government Human Resource ManagementEducation Requirements:10+ years of related experience with a master's degree or 15+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in business, technical, or related field.Security Requirements:Candidates for this position must have a minimum of an Active Secret Security Clearance.Company DescriptionIncorporated in 2012, MDW is a small business headquartered in McLean, VA with offices in Huntsville, AL.
