Ductless Technical Specialist

Job Overview Trane Technologies is hiring a Ductless Technical Specialist to support the proper installation, startup, commissioning, and ongoing success of Trane VRF and ductless products. The specialist will work closely with contractor customers and internal teams to provide technical support and training across the lifecycle of these systems. Responsibilities Support the ongoing success of VRF and ductless products after the sale. Coach and train sales teams and customers on product sales, application, and customer support best practices. Provide field training and technical support for the installation, application, startup, and troubleshooting of VRF and ductless systems. Communicate proactively with stakeholders across multiple projects and maintain detailed reports. Build consultative relationships with building owners, contractors, Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS), and Trane partners. Represent your area or region in the Mitsubishi DSG program. Monitor post‑installation processes and performance metrics to improve customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness. Partner with contractor customers and internal teams to ensure proper installation, startup, and commissioning of products. Troubleshoot product issues, investigate customer concerns, recommend corrective actions, and help drive resolution. Administer warranty processes and support other ductless business activities following installation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of commercial HVAC experience, or 5 years of commercial HVAC experience in lieu of a degree. VRF experience preferred. Working knowledge of construction disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and controls, preferred. Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory. Strong public speaking and presentation skills required. Ability to travel daily, with up to 30% overnight travel. Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations (including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless or careless driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions within the previous 3 years). Compensation Annual Base Salary Range: $56,300.00 - $101,394.99. Salary incentive eligible: Yes.
