Blackening Tank Operator: Rockford, Illinois
Our customer in Rockford, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Blackening Tank Operators to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Blackening General Tank Operator, you will be responsible for handling blackening tanks, heat treating, straightening, and other general duties in the production environment.
Responsibilities of the Blackening Tank Operator:
- Color metal tools and parts using blackening tanks.
- Place tools/parts into multiple tanks for specific times to achieve desired coloring effects.
- Perform heat treating, straightening, and sawing as needed.
- Use overhead crane regularly to move materials safely.
- Bend and manipulate materials as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.
- Complete other production-related duties as assigned.
Blackening Tank Operator Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma/GED or significant relevant work experience.
- Capable of using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Proficient with hand tools, including drills, screwdrivers, and impact tools.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Steel-toed boots/shoes required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
Pay for Blackening Tank Operator: $17/hour.
