Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist
Virtual Vocations Inc
To ensure timely collection of outstanding healthcare insurance receivables, the full-time Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist will verify eligibility, update patient information, and research unpaid claims while working remotely. Key responsibilities Verify and obtain eligibility and authorization from insurance carriers Research and status unpaid or denied claims, including contacting payers for payment resolution Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with corporate policies and insurance guidelines Required qualifications 2-3 years of experience in medical collections, denials, and appeals Intermediate knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and NCCI coding Familiarity with third-party billing guidelines and claim forms (UB04/1500) Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Understanding of health information systems, such as EMR and Patient Accounting Systems
