Location: Augusta Maine
Duration: 12+ Months
Work Schedule: Hybrid

Remote work with onsite presence required every other Wednesday in Augusta, ME
Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday
Days Off: Thursday and Friday
Schedule may change based on departmental needs

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Help Desk Analyst to provide technical support and service desk assistance for end users in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Candidates must be local to the Augusta, ME area (within approximately one hour radius) and comfortable working in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

Staff the Service Desk queue and respond to incoming support calls, emails, and live messages.
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware/software issues.
Utilize remote support tools to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently.
Perform system administration tasks to ensure maximum system utilization and operational efficiency.
Support agency-standard applications and provide end-user assistance.
Document all incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions clearly and accurately.
Contribute to and maintain the internal knowledge base documentation.
Test and evaluate hardware and software solutions for operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with multiple technical teams and demonstrate flexibility to assist where needed.
Follow customer service best practices and maintain a professional, accountable approach to support.
Respond promptly and effectively to support requests through various communication channels.
Demonstrate emotional intelligence and professionalism while supporting end users in a service desk environment.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Help Desk, Service Desk, or Technical Support role.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Experience troubleshooting Windows-based systems, printers, laptops, and mobile devices.
Ability to clearly document technical issues and resolutions.
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. when required.
Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Active Directory and/or Microsoft Azure .
Familiarity with remote desktop/support tools.
Experience working in a fast-paced enterprise support environment.

Additional Information

Only local candidates within commuting distance of Augusta, ME will be considered.
Hybrid work arrangement with required onsite attendance every other Wednesday.
Candidates should be flexible with scheduling adjustments based on departmental needs.
