Travel Nursing Job Details Job Title: PCU Travel Registered Nurse (RN) / ED Holding Float RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing Location: Fort Myers, Florida Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,920 Start Date: December 4, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending March 6, 2027 Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients Patient Ratio: Approximately 4:1 to 6:1, depending on patient acuity and mix Documentation System: Epic Scrubs: Galaxy blue and white PCU Travel RN Job Requirements At least 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience Current Florida or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification Flexibility to float as needed, including to affiliated campuses Ability to provide safe, effective nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care setting Degree accreditation documented in the professional profile, or at least 5 years of applicable nursing experience Ability to meet all required documentation and credentialing deadlines before the assignment begins PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU and ED holding patients during 12-hour night shifts Monitor patients with complex medical needs and promptly recognize and report changes in condition Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards of care Perform ongoing patient assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and patient education using Epic Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes Maintain a flexible approach to floating and deliver consistent care across assigned units and affiliated campuses Support a collaborative team culture while performing to the same clinical standards as core staff Join this Fort Myers travel nursing opportunity and bring your PCU expertise to a dedicated progressive care team.
