CT Technologist - Millbrook, AL

Exceptional opportunity for a skilled CT/PET Technologist to contribute expertise within a dynamic imaging department. This contract role involves working 3 twelve-hour shifts Friday through Sunday, focused on high-quality patient care in a Level II Trauma Center equipped with advanced technology.


Location Overview:
Situated in Millbrook, AL, this facility boasts 492 beds and is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center with a Level III NICU. The hospital serves diverse patients including adult inpatients and outpatients, as well as pediatric cases primarily through emergency and outpatient services. The environment is fast-paced, with an average caseload of four patients per hour, emphasizing individualized 1:1 ratios for imaging procedures.


Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced CT imaging including biopsy drainage, trauma, angiography, and stroke perfusion studies
• Operate GE CT equipment and utilize Cerner EMR systems for documentation and patient tracking
• Float across multiple hospital radiology areas, adapting to various patient needs and workflows
• Participate in orientation comprising an 8-hour hospital overview and 2-3 unit shifts shadowing day staff
• Support hospital scheduling needs including one major and one minor holiday on a seasonal basis, with occasional weekend rotations and voluntary on-call opportunities

Qualifications and Credentials:

• ARRT certification in CT required; ARRT general and current BLS certifications mandatory
• State licensing preferred
• Minimum of 2 years' experience for first-time travelers; 1 year experience considered if highly skilled in required areas
• Demonstrated proficiency in trauma and angiogram protocols; stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
