About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to serve as the senior information technology executive for the McCombs School of Business. The CIO will be responsible for leading the school's technology strategy, setting priorities, and making investments that align with the institution's goals. This role involves providing executive leadership in technology operations, application development, data services, and information security. The successful candidate will also be tasked with advising senior leaders on technology opportunities, risks, and modernization, particularly in the areas of data and artificial intelligence. Applicants for the CIO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years' of progressive IT leadership experience. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in technology strategy, staff management, budgeting, and major technology initiatives. Experience in areas such as application development, data and analytics, infrastructure, end-user services, cybersecurity, and technology planning is essential. The CIO will be expected to have a proven track record of leading through influence, working with diverse stakeholders, and making sound recommendations in complex organizational settings. Preferred qualifications include experience in a similar enterprise technology leadership role, particularly within a mission-driven organization, and a background in higher education or a federated technology environment.
