Growing together.The Part-Time Pharmacist provides essential medication management and clinical pharmacy services for hospitalized patients, ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant use of medications in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. This role utilizes clinical expertise to review and verify medication orders, optimize medication therapy, monitor patient outcomes, and support pharmacy operations while promoting quality patient care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Pharmacy Location: Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan, OHSchedule: This part-time position can offer up to 35 hours per week with flexible scheduling. Candidates seeking fewer hours are encouraged to apply. Shifts are scheduled during pharmacy operating hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.Primary Responsibilities:Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracyProvide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoringCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patientsOversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities, ensuring compliance with USP and hospital standardsMonitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug eventsSupervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflowEnsure regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirementsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, or equivalent pharmacy degreeActive Ohio pharmacist license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain Ohio pharmacist licensure by the start datePreferred Qualification:3+ months of hospital pharmacy experiencePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.00 - $79.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
