In this vital role, you will be a member of the US Marketing Leadership Team for KRYSTEXXA and will lead the strategic direction of the TLL organization for all relevant specialties. The TLL team is a commercial, field-based, customer-facing role focused on the identification and cultivation of relationships with both leading and emerging key opinion leaders (KOLs) as well as leading the development of key customers and speakers. This position will drive alignment to the KRYSTEXXA brand objectives to ensure the team delivers on key priorities in the near- and longer-term. This individual will make strategic commercial recommendations to optimize efforts across the team and ensure optimal use of resources.The TLL Director will oversee a national team of TLLs and will be responsible for leading, developing, hiring, and training. The TLL Director will be expected to bring insights to help shape brand strategy, anticipate market events and champion cross functional collaboration with internal stakeholders.This is an opportunity to join a dynamic organization at a pivotal time to shape the future of the TLL organization for KRYSTEXXA. This position will report to the Executive Director, Marketing for KRYSTEXXA.Key responsibilities include:Develop the strategic plan for the TLL organization aligning to the overarching brand strategyHire, develop, train and lead a high-performing TLL team to ensure clear accountability to achieving/exceeding objectivesDevelop aligned MBOs that drive impact and accountabilityDemonstrate that the TLL team has a comprehensive understanding of the disease state, competitive landscape and therapeutic management of uncontrolled goutGenerate insights to inform brand strategyParticipate in cross-functional team meetings ensuring knowledge of key priorities and metrics to help drive KRYSTEXXA business objectivesPartner with internal cross-functional teams including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Patient Services, R&D, Market Access, Site of Care, Advocacy and Commercial Operations in the development and execution of strategies and tactics to ensure long-term adoption of KRYSTEXXAUnderstand gaps in the customer experience and provide recommendations for new business initiatives, trainings or interventions necessary to address the gapsContribute to the development of the annual brand plan with responsibility for defining and executing key areas within the associated tactical plansBuild and maintain business relationships at the necessary levels in the organization and interact with and/or influence key cross-functional stakeholdersHelp the TLL team to execute strategic plans by ensuring the team is focused on key customers/accounts, training and developing speakers and executing on key initiativesIdentify, develop and lead opportunities for key strategic partnerships with targeted and relevant societies and conferences to support insight generation, educational outreach and collaborationPartner with Marketing to determine what is needed to evolve and develop the Speaker Bureau across specialtiesLead the TLL team to operate to the highest standards in alignment with Amgen’s code of business conduct, ensuring all interactions with KOLs are on-label and consistent with commercial, regulatory, and legal guidelinesIdentify opportunities to elevate the impact of the TLL role and build consistency in ways of working, strategic focus, and execution across the RDBUWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek is a person with these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing and/or other commercial function experienceOrMaster’s degree and 8 years of marketing and/or other commercial function experienceOrBachelor’s degree and 10 years of marketing and/or other commercial function experienceIn addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 4 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.Preferred Qualifications:10+ years of relevant work experience with 7+ years of commercial function experience across multiple therapeutic areasExperience leading a national TLL team strongly preferredExperience in rheumatology or nephrology strongly preferredRelationships with rheumatology or nephrology opinion leadersBiotech/pharmaceutical industry experience requiredStrong leadership capabilities and track record of developing team membersOutstanding analytical and data management skillsExcellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the abilities to take ownership of issues, to work independently with confidence and to meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment and discretionAbility to work well with all levels of employees and demonstrate strong collaboration skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProfessional, proactive demeanorStrong interpersonal skillsTravel Requirements: Requires approximately 30% travel, including overnight and some weekend commitments.Salary Range214,810.30USD -290,625.70 USDSummaryLocation: US - Illinois - ChicagoType: Full time
