Licensed Massage Therapist

MPOWER Physical Therapy uses a multi-disciplinary approach that includes orthopedics, physical & occupational therapy, personal training, massage therapy, and nutrition services to provide our patients & clients with great resources to help them reach their optimal level of wellness.The Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) role at MPOWER Physical Therapy is designed for individuals who value long-term stability, ease of access to referrals, and organic collaboration. LMTs work with physical therapists and personal trainers to provide safe, medically supervised, and collaborative massage therapy to our clients & patients.Part-time LMTs (>20 hours/week) can receive a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, licensure reimbursement, and more.MINIMUM ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTSUnderstand, implement, and uphold the MPOWER modelEvaluate, treat clients, and complete documentation in a professional and timely mannerMaintain a set number of massage hours per week set by MPOWER managementMaintain a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the facility (including availability for all team and individual meetings) and a minimum of 20 weekly hoursIntegrate other MPOWER services into client care including physical therapy, personal training, nutrition, and collaboration with these and any other referring providersCommunicate with physical therapists and other referral sources regarding the treatment and progress of their patients and clientsManage administrative tasks consistently including but not limited to ensuring all client sessions are paid for and checked out and check company email dailyManage, track, and follow up with clients after each massage to ensure retainment of clientsKeep accurate record of massage hours via MPOWER’s administrative software daily; PRN massage therapists will be compensated for massage, room flip, and meeting time onlyPlay an active role in recruitment and training as neededSubmit accurate and timely tip reportingCommunicate time off at least one month in advance and ensure all clients are scheduled to work with other massage therapistsKNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in related field is preferredCurrent certification through an accredited program of Massage TherapyCurrent Massage Therapists license is valid in the state of TennesseeCPR certification is requiredMinimum one year of professional massage therapy experience required; experience in a healthcare setting is preferredParticipate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliationsExcellent knowledge in physiology and working knowledge of human anatomy and orthopedicsNeat, professional appearance along with kind and helpful personalityHandle difficult situations in a calm and professional mannerSuperior verbal and written communication skillsExcellent follow up skills with clients and fellow team membersOrganization and multi-tasking skillsMaintain patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the companyComfortable effectively using MS office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook with various internet applicationsWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class. #J-18808-Ljbffr mPower Physical Therapy
