Accountant

Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid Options Available) Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking an Accountant to join their growing finance team. Key Responsibilities Provide month-end close support and assist with related accounting activities. Manage accounts payable processes related to grant funding. Prepare journal entries for funders and subrecipients. Prepare and maintain reconciliations and tracking schedules for advanced funds. Monitor and manage federal and non-federal funding sources with varying levels of restrictions. Support grant accounting and compliance requirements. Assist with financial reporting and other accounting projects as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with post-award grant accounting. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Self-starter with strong initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
